Terms of Service

The Allin Software web apps

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Which apps this covers

Brain Squid
The TimeTabler
Folder Fabricator
Invested
QuidVault

These terms apply to those five web apps, at brain-squid.web.app, the-timetabler.web.app, folder-fabricator.web.app, invested-interest.web.app and quid-vault.web.app (each an “app”).

They do not apply to Book’d Off, the Android app, which has its own — read the Book’d Off terms.

1. Agreement

These terms apply to your use of the apps listed above, published by Allin Software (“we”, “us”). By using an app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

2. The apps are free

All five are provided free of charge. There is no account, no subscription and nothing to pay. We do not take payment details for any of them.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the apps for your own purposes, personal or work. You may not resell or redistribute them, or reverse engineer or attempt to extract their source code, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.

4. Your files are yours

The apps run in your browser and work on files held on your own device. Your notes, timetables, spreadsheets, generated folders and documents, and your Invested and QuidVault vaults remain entirely yours. We claim no ownership of them and, as set out in the Privacy Policy, we have no access to them.

You are responsible for what you put into them and for what you do with what comes out, including anything you export or share with other people.

5. Back up your own work

Because your files never reach us, we hold no copy of your work and cannot recover anything for you. Browser storage can be cleared by you, by your browser, or by a policy set on a managed device, and that would take with it the app’s record of which folder you were using.

Keep your own backups of anything you would mind losing. We are not liable for loss of data however caused.

6. Your browser and your device

These apps rely on modern browser features, chiefly the File System Access API, which is not available in every browser. Where a feature is missing the app may be limited or may not work at all. We do not guarantee that any app will work in a particular browser, on a particular device, or under restrictions your employer has applied to a managed machine.

It is your responsibility to check that using these apps is permitted on a device or network that is not your own.

7. Invested and Trading 212

Invested is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Trading 212 in any way. It reads your account using an API key that you create and can revoke, and it asks only for read access — it cannot place, change or cancel an order.

Nothing in Invested is financial advice. Valuations, performance figures and market data are shown for information only, may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and must not be relied on for any investment decision. Always check your actual account. Your use of Trading 212 remains subject to Trading 212’s own terms.

Invested’s handling of your data is covered by its own privacy policy, which is kept with the app — read it here.

8. QuidVault, your bank, HMRC and Mistral

QuidVault is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any bank, card provider or HM Revenue & Customs. It has no connection to your accounts: it works only on the statements and documents you give it. Its Tax section files nothing — it estimates, and lays the figures out in the shape of the return for you to check. Reading scanned documents and suggesting categories is optional and uses Mistral with a key you hold, under Mistral’s own terms.

Nothing in QuidVault is financial or tax advice. Balances, budgets, categories and tax figures depend on what has been imported and may be incomplete or wrong. Check them against your own statements and documents, check every tax box against HMRC’s guidance, and take advice from an accountant where your affairs call for one. Your return remains your responsibility.

QuidVault has its own terms and privacy policy, kept with the app — read the terms and the privacy policy.

9. What the apps are not

They are tools for organising your own information. Nothing produced by any of them is professional advice — financial, legal, educational or otherwise — and none of them is a system of record. A timetable, a folder structure or a set of notes produced by these apps is your work product, and checking it is your responsibility.

10. Availability and changes

These are made and maintained by one person and provided free. We may update, change, or discontinue any app or feature at any time, and we do not promise that any of them will remain available. Features that depend on third-party services may stop working if those services change.

If an app is ever withdrawn, your files are unaffected: they are ordinary files on your own device, in formats you can open elsewhere.

11. Disclaimer and liability

The apps are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit arising from your use of them.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all statutory rights that cannot be excluded by agreement.

12. Termination

You may stop using any app at any time by closing it; there is no account to close. We may withdraw this licence if you materially breach these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
